We had another great night of music and fun with the dancers and the band at the Goodbye Winter Dance. Donny and the Walkers were in fine form, at times some people were dancing on the patio, and some by the entry. There were many new faces and everyone was just having a good time together. New music from Donny was I Feel Fine and Sunny sang I Will Survive.
Donny and the Walkers were invited for a special Silky’s Valentine’s Dance. Silky Sullivan’s hosted a delicious Valentine’s dinner special and promptly sold out of the prime rib. On entering, the hostess told us they were completely booked. Donny, Sunny, and the guests were sounding great and having fun with the sold-out crowd. With Greg and Grant’s exceptional duet (perhaps I’m biased) of My Girl, Judi and Scott have now stepped up and are raising the bar on the two baritones! I love it! Delightful Valentine’s Day with Donny and the Walkers!
The Valentine’s dance is the first play date for Donny and the Walkers at OC Singles new home location. After a tasty Asian Fusion dinner with good fellowship, Donny and the Walkers began to play for three hours of dancing. The Walkers played five new songs, including the new duet Bye Bye Love by Judi and Scott. That will pressure the masters, Greg and Grant’s duet, My Girl. Thanks to the helpers who set up the event and also to those who stayed to put it away. Together we created fine food, magnificent music, and delightful dancing, making it an invaluable Valentine’s Dance. Thanks for the memories!
Donny and the Walkers performed at Silky Sullivan’s Restaurant and Irish Pub to celebrate Mike Reed’s 70th Birthday. With considerable help from Scott Jensen, they got the squealers out of the audio system and the band began to play. The complete band and guest vocalists were present. Sunny was back and sounded great, Grant and Greg teamed up to do “My Girl”, breaking new ground there guys! Judi got her boots on with “These Boots Were Made for Walkin'”. It was a delightful evening and you are invited to the next performance on February 14, 2023 at Silky Sullivan’s.
It was a fun evening with the band at MoonGoat. Donny is the master showman and delivered a get performance without Sunny or Greg. All the guest vocalists stepped up, Go Doc!, and did a wonderful job filling in with new music and our favorites. We missed Sunny and Greg but this very weekend, February 11, Sunny and Greg and the full band will be at OC Singles for Christ. Reservations are required at https://ocsfc1org.infellowship.com/Forms/472906
It was a special time for the Donny and the Walkers’ besties. We had Audrey on keyboards and John and Jeff on bass guitar. Judi, Nick, Grant, and Greg sang to an appreciative crowd. With the new players there was only one new tune, but the crowd certainly let the band know how much they enjoyed Ticket To Ride.
It was a great night of dancing with friends at the coffee shop with Donny and the Walkers. Donny played new music with a big guest vocalist lineup who also sang new music. We had Nick Garcia who rolled out a great performance of Can’t Help Falling in Love, Greg Meeks lit the shop on fire with My Girl (special favorite of mine) , and then the fireman came to cool the place down and Grant Hill had too much fun singing The Fireman. Among all the great music Judi McCaslin got the whole shop walkin’ and dancin’ with These Boots Were Made for Walkin’. What a night!
It was another great evening dancing with Donny and the Walkers at MoonGoat Coffee Roasters. We had the best fans without being overwhelmed. Additionally, there were seven August birthdays needing to be celebrated: Shirley, Richard, Lisa, Nick, Ben, Wei, and Greg. Debbie generously brought several cakes to make a surprise party.
