Roger has lived in Long Beach since he was three years old. He had been taking lessons and playing piano for a year when a band came to his elementary school and played the theme to Mission Impossible. The drumbeat got his attention, and he found a new ambition. When he was ten, Roger began taking drum lessons and was soon in a band. He played in private bands throughout elementary, junior high, and high school. He also played with his school’s orchestra and jazz band.

Roger played in a lot of regional bands. While playing in the band Lost Souls, he toured Canada, and in 1992 Lost Souls opened for Blue Oyster Cult. In 2014, his band ?band name? opened for The Tubes “She’s A Beauty” and Dick Dale and the Del-Tones – King of the Surf Guitar “Misirlou” in 2014. He has been playing at the Long Beach Blues Festival since 2015 and expects to play again this year with two bands.

He was playing a gig with an Elvis impersonator ? impersonator’s name? in Laughlin, Nevada. One day the impersonator said we needed to talk. That day the impersonator led Roger to the Lord in his hotel room on Elvis’ birthday, January 8, 19??.

Roger has been married since 1982 and has two children from a previous marriage.

He has done several drum clinics at different churches and on a mission trip to Kosovo. He still plays piano and keyboards for some writing projects, and he keeps busy with his recording studio Foundation Rock.

Roger met Donny Walker through a high school friend when Donny was looking for a drummer in November 2021. They first played at Angel City with no rehearsal. Donny gave Roger the list of songs, and they played the gig.
